Robert von Friedeburg is Reader in History in the School of Humanities at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln (UK). Prior to this position he held the Chair of Early Modern History, with special reference to the History of Politics and Mentalities at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is also a member of the board of the Johannes Althusius−Gesellschaft e. V. and a member of the Royal Historical Society.
