rnErste Sitzung mit Professor Matthias Lutz-Bachmann

Das Forschungskolleg freut sich, Professor Matthias Lutz-Bachmann als neues Mitglied seines Wissenschaftlichen Direktoriums zu begrüßen. Am 13. Dezember nahm er erstmals an einer Sitzung des akademischen Leitungsgremiums teil, in das er nach Beschluss des Vorstands Ende Oktober 2011 berufen worden war.

Matthias Lutz-Bachmann ist seit 1994 Professor für Philosophie an der Goethe-Universität. Er vertritt dort die Forschungsschwerpunkte Philosophie des Mittelalters, Praktische Philosophie und Religionsphilosophie. Zudem hat er 2009 das Amt des Vizepräsidenten der Universität angenommen, das er bis heute inne hat. Als Vizepräsident der Universität mit der Zuständigkeit für die geisteswissenschaftlichen Fachbereiche und auch als Fachwissenschaftler ist er mit dem Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften seit dessen Gründung verbunden. So hat er im Frühjahr 2010 James Bohman von der St. Louis University (wo Lutz Bachmann auch Adjunct Professor ist) zu einem Forschungsaufenthalt an das Kolleg eingeladen, und ein Jahr später konnte er den Moralphilosophen William Talbott von der University of Washington für einen mehrwöchigen Aufenthalt am Kolleg gewinnen.

Als Mitglied des Direktoriums des Kollegs möchte Lutz-Bachmann vor allem die Zusammenarbeit des Kollegs mit den Instituten der Goethe-Universität intensivieren.
