»Internal fellows« to be appointed to the Institute
Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main will appoint top researchers from the University as »internal fellows« to the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften. The programme will begin in January 2017.

In order to foster research in the humanities and social sciences at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, the Executive Board of the University has decided to appoint leading researchers from the University to the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften in Bad Homburg as »internal fellows« beginning in 2017. The fellows will be appointed to the Institute for a period of up to four years and thereby receive the freedom to work on new interdisciplinary topics and to initiate new research projects. They will collaborate closely with the international scholars already working as fellows at the Forschungskolleg.

The programme was initiated by the Board of Directors of the Forschungskolleg under the leadership of Professor Matthias Lutz-Bachmann, the director of the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften and former Vice President of Goethe University. He is convinced that this programme will have many positive effects: it will contribute to the promotion of research and teaching in the humanities and social sciences at the University as well as to a broader establishment of the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften as an internationally renowned »Institute for Advanced Studies« in these fields.
