»Die Rolle der USA beim Fall der Mauer II: From John McCloy to George Bush – America’s Foreign Policy Establishment, European Unity, and German Reunification, 1945–1990«Über den Vortrag
Die Beziehungen der USA zu Deutschland waren, trotz gewisser Vorbehalte gegenüber Deutschland, lange eine Priorität der außenpolitischen Eliten in den USA. Die amerikanische Führung drängte auf ein wiedervereinigtes Deutschland in der NATO und die Beibehaltung einer amerikanischen Präsenz in Europa. Die Veranstaltung analysiert die Rolle der USA beim Fall der Mauer und der deutschen Wiedervereinigung und setzt sie in den heutigen politischen Kontext.
Der Vortrag findet in englischer Sprache statt.
