»Meeting of the Bürgermeister der Kur- und Modebäder Europas«Bürgermeister und Oberbürgermeister der Kur- und Modebäder Europas werden am Donnerstag, dem 22. Oktober 2015, in Bad Homburg zusammenkommen, um sich über den aktuellen Sachstand der seriellen transnationalen Bewerbung um die Aufnahme in die UNESCO-Liste des Weltkulturerbes unter dem Motto »Great Spas of Europe« zu informieren und das weitere Vorgehen zu diskutieren.
Bad Homburg darf zu diesem Anlass Gäste aus Karlsbad, Marienbad, Franzensbad, Luhacovice, Bath, Vichy, Spa, Montecatini Terme, Baden bei Wien, Bad Ischl, Baden-Baden, Bad Ems, Wiesbaden, Bad Kissingen und Bad Pyrmont begrüßen. Die Bürgermeister werden in den Räumlichkeiten des Kollegs Humanwissenschaften am Wingertsberg tagen. Die gemeinsame Arbeit steht im Mittelpunkt des Treffens. Darüber hinaus die Stadt Bad Homburg für die Abende und die Mittagszeit ein abwechslungsreiches Begleitprogramm mit Besichtigung von Saalburg und Herzberg und einer Führung durch den Lennéschen Kurpark zusammengestellt. So kehrt ein wenig von dem Flair der alten Kur-Zeit zurück und Bad Homburg wird wieder zu einem »Salon de l‘Europe«.
