Gisela Trommsdorff is professor emeritus at the University of Konstanz, where she heads the division on developmental psychology and cross-cultural comparison, and a fellow at the German Institute for Economic Research, Berlin (DIW).

Irene Dingel At the same time, the board appointed Irene Dingel to the board of directors. The renowned church historian is a professor of church history and history of dogma at the University of Mainz and has been director of the Leibniz Institute for European History in Mainz since 2005. She is very familiar with the working methods and objectives of the Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften as an Institute for Advanced Studies - not least because she was a fellow at the Kolleg in 2017. The board of directors is pleased that she has agreed to take on this position. Due to her work in large academic institutions, she brings great expertise in the area of research development and planning. Dingel's membership on the board of directors of the Forschungskolleg is also a great asset in terms of expanding cooperation with institutions engaged in cutting-edge research in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main area.
